The 9L0-623 exam is Apple's official test for the Apple Certified Technical Coordinator (Mac OS X 10.6 era) credential, a certification at the Professional level. Earning it tells employers your skills have been verified by the vendor itself, which carries real weight in hiring and promotion decisions. Within the same certification track, it sits alongside Mac OS X Support Essentials 10.6, Apple Certified Support Professional (ACSP), Apple Certified Technical Coordinator (ACTC), so it can also serve as a stepping stone toward those credentials.

Apple divides the Apple Mac OS X Deployment 10.6 exam into 5 domains. The largest ones are Configuration and Automation, Directory Services and Integration, Mac OS X Deployment Fundamentals — together these account for the bulk of your score, so start there. The complete domain-by-domain outline appears in the exam topics section above on this page.
